Winter

The weather has become so cold. We spoke about the winter in our classroom. We sang the song " snowflakes, snowflakes, little snowflakes, snowflakes snowflakes falling to the ground...." while we held small foam pieces and dropped them to the ground.

We made snow collages using all different white materials such as foam, cotton balls, white tissue paper etc..

We spoke about clothing that we wear in the winter when it is cold.
We sang the song: "What do you wear when it's cold when it's cold oh what do you wear when it's cold?
We wear a hat ..we wear a scarf, we wear a coat, we wear boots. we wear some gloves...
cause that's what we wear when its cold when it's cold...oh that's what we wear when it's cold..."

We decorated gloves with art materials and then tied them together and brought them home.

We LOVED the song about the snowman's nose:)

A chubby little snowman had a carrot for a nose
Along came a bunny rabbit and what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny was looking for his lunch
He ate the snowman's nose up....nibble nibble crunch

We painted our own snowmen to hang up on the bulletin board. We mixed together glue and shaving cream to make such a cool sensory effect.

We also made our own snowmen and colored our own rabbits to bring home so that we can sing the song to you!
